Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Johanna Stull is a music director, vocal coach, and pianist that specializes in creating high-quality, collaborative performing experiences.

Johanna maintains an active career in both the classical and music theater worlds, using her versatile skill set to bring inspiration to both students and seasoned performers. Most recently, Johanna has music directed for Beck’s Peter Pan and the lovable Annie with CYT Dallas. At the piano in 2019, Johanna has prepared and coached productions of West Side Story (Abilene Opera and Utah Festival Opera), as well as Newsies (Utah Festival Opera). In August, she accepted a new role as a Visiting Lecturer of Musical Theater at Kennesaw State University, where she is preparing for the fall production of Bring It On.

As a trained mezzo-soprano, Johanna has a distinctive command of classical vocal coaching. She has collaborated with the vocal studios at the University of North Texas and at Texas’ Woman’s University, as well as coached summer opera programs at the Opera Theatre of St. Louis and Bayview Music Festival.

Johanna holds a M.M. in Collaborative Piano and Music Entrepreneurship from the University of North Texas, as well as a B.M. in Piano Performance from Missouri Baptist University. When she's not at the keyboard, Johanna finds happiness traveling, reading, and discovering new coffee shops.

"Johanna's sweet and truly collaborative spirit [allowed our] artistic work to flourish! Somehow without any spotlight seeking Johanna was adored by the singers and other instrumentalists. Her power of presence is sweet and affirming. Her musicianship is sensitive with a refined technique. I would love an opportunity to work with her again, as it was complete joy!"
